Inspiration
The Cell
Psychological thriller released in 2000
Directed by Tarsem Singh
This film is known for its visually striking images and unique style, as well as its exploration of psychological themes. Although the film received mixed reviews, it gained recognition for its artistic viewpoint and imaginative depiction of the human mind.
“The Cell” has a specific scene featuting a split horse, which inspired my artistic approach.
Layer art
This term refers to any type of art that is created using layers of materials. Traditionally, layering can involve using several sheets of paper, fabric or other materials to create a multi-dimensional piece.
In digital art, layering is a technique used in software programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. In my approach, I create layered artworks by placing different elements on separate layers that can be edited and manipulated independently. This allows greater flexibility and control in the creative process and makes adjustments to specific elements easier without afecting the whole..
Layered art can also refer to works of art that have been created by layering visual elements to create an impression of depth and complexity. This technique can be seen in many art forms, from painting and drawing to graphic design and illustration.

Layers
spaced
MDF or Dibond
Layered sculpture with spacing is a technique in which different layers of material are superimposed with a space between them. Instead of being directly adjacent to each other, each layer is separated by a visible gap that creates a discontinuity or opening between the layers. This approach offers a lighter and more textured appareance to te sculpture, offering opportunities to play with light, transparency or the interaction between layers.

adjacent
Layers
Layered sculpture without spacing refers to a sculpture where the layers of material are laid on each other without any space between them. This created a solid and continuous structure. Using this approach, the sculptural forms have clean contours and flowing lines.
This technique is used for various types of sculpture, whether in wood or metal, or in more contemporary materials such as Dibond (or Alucobond…) or resin.
very first project
One morning, I woke up with the idea of creating a piece of ‘sliced’ furniture. It was a long journey before I achieved the desired result.
Special thanks to FabLab Onl’fait
After training on a CNC machine, I could reach the necessary freedom to express my creativity. It was up to me to decide how to use the technology to bring my ideas to life and create unique artworks.

Sliced art
Use of artistic techniques involving cutting or dividing materials to create a work of art.
Split art
The use of artistic techniques that involve dividing or separating elements to create a work of art. This may include the separation of shapes, colours or other visual elements.
Bedded art
The use of multiple layers of materials, colours or elements to create a three-dimensional work of art. The term “bedded” is used in geology to describe rocks that are stratified into distinct layers.
Layer art
The use of layers of materials or artistic elements to create a work of art. This can be done in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, digital art or collage. Layering creates depth, texture and visual complexity in the final work.
Research
parametric
work
I am curently exploring new perspectives in my artistic research, in order to push back the boundaries of my creativity. This is how i encountered innovative ideas such as Parametric art. An artistic approach that uses variable parameters to generate works of art. In this method, algorithms and mathematical rules are used to create shapes, patterns and visual compositions. Parametric artists create patterns or rules that determine how the elements of the work form, combine and transform according to the given parameters.
Being deeply inspired by this approach and at a turning point of my art, I stringly encourage you to get in touch with me if you have an idea in mind, a creative impulse or a project that is close to your heart. I am a firm believer in the value of exchange and collaboration.
Allow me to present a selection of examples of complex parametric compositions that I have discovered on the web. By exploring them, you might be inspired by the way artists have used algorithms and rules to generate parametric works.
